That one wedding I shot with only my 50mm.

My brother recently asked me if I wanted to help him shoot a wedding. Since it was his gig, I would be the second shooter with little pressure and I wouldn't have the stress of editing the photos after I said yes. Oh and the location was at my old summer camp that I hadn’t been to in about 10 years! Bonus! The only problem was that I only had my 50mm lens with me. Ill be honest, I would love photography so much more if I could do it well with only one lens. I am an aspiring minimalist. Shooting weddings with all the gear is difficult for me. This wedding gave me the opportunity to shoot like a true minimalist. It was just me, my camera and my little 50mm and... and I loved it, until the group shots.

So here are a few of my shots. I didn't look at all the photos I took or spend allot of time editing. Mostly I wanted to post so that when I look back I will remember the challenge I had and what I learned. My blog is just my journal after all, and lucky for you guys you get to read/see it.

This my friends, is my awesome brother.

Grace

Roads covered in ice, a car with bald tires, a slippery snowy slope and cold noses and toes, it was a wonderful adventure! But the adventure that the two of us have been on has been even grander! It has been such a privilege to see Grace grow! She is a senior now and is ready to experience what God has planned for her.

Fall Picnic 2015

I got to decorate for my schools fall picnic this year! I am posting this as a memory and so I don't repeat anything  if there happens to be a next time. Because I was so busy Nancy and Ellen took photos for me! Thanks guys!
